SYOSSET, NY — A Syosset man was arrested after a burglary on Saturday night, police said.
Jason He, 56, was accused of unlawfully entering a Syosset home through an unlocked rear door and striking a 56-year-old man in the chest with a chair at approximately 11:27 p.m., Nassau County police said.
Once inside the home, He was involved in a disturbance with the 57-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman that escalated into a phsyical altercation, according to police.
He then fled the scene in an unknown direction and was found by police, who placed him under arrest, police said.
The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Syosset man for an incident that occurred on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:27 pm in Syosset.
He was charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree attempted assault, second-degree menacing, second-degree harassment, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police. He was arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
