JERICHO, NY — A late-night fire at the Milleridge Inn in Jericho has left the Inn closed for business on Friday, officials said.
The Jericho Fire Department responded to 585 North Broadway after receiving a building fire call at 9:34 p.m. Thursday, the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said.
According to fire marshals, the fire was brought under control within an hour with no injuries reported.
The Cottage remains unaffected, but they are waiting to enter the Inn to assess the damage, Frank Esposito, general manager at Baldwin's Coral House, which shares ownership with the Milleridge Inn through their parent company, The Dover Group, said.
"We're on standby," Esposito said.
He said they are all hoping the Inn can reopen for business soon.
Mutual aid was provided by Westbury, Syosset, Bethpage, Hicksville, Carle Place, Glenwood, Roslyn, Plainview, and Farmingdale fire departments, fire marshals said.
Syosset Hook & Ladder Co. 1 shared a video to Facebook of the active fire Thursday night.
All fire operations were under the command of Chief Ketsoglou of the Jericho Fire Department, fire marshals said.
The NCFM's Office and the NCPD Arson/Bomb Squad are investigating the fire, officials said.
