• Americano Pizza Shop launches October fundraiser for Making Strides of Long Island (news12.com) — A Syosset pizzeria is turning every Tuesday in October into a chance to support breast cancer research, donating $5 from each pie to Making Strides of Long Island. Americano Pizza Shop is also collecting donations in-store and online and running a football-squares fundraiser tied to the Nov. 1 Jets-Raiders game, inviting local residents to pitch in all month.
