Cody Cohen: Syosset senior, and head of Double C Capital

For one Syosset senior, the goal of the weekend is completely different than his peers. Rather than simply hanging with friends and having fun, Cody Cohen spends his Friday and Saturday nights on the phone with potential cliental.

For the last several months Cohen has been finding start up investments for his new venture capital fund, Double C Capital. A venture capital fund gives first round funding to a startup company in exchange for equity. To Cody Cohen this has been the drive behind it all. "I always wanted to be the man behind the scenes of the next great idea."

Obviously as a seventeen year old, Cohen is not working alone. Cohen has a team around him led by his father Bobby Cohen who has a tremendous amount of experience in the finance industry. "The people I surround myself with give me the knowledge and insight that will help me moving forward."

Cohen will be attending American University in Washington D.C. in the fall  studying Economics. He feels that this can only be a positive for Double C Capital. "I will not only be able to network more, but I will also be able to gain so much more experience in the field."

Cody Cohen is not only determined, but is passionate about this industry. "Whatever I have to do for the good of the fund I will do. If that means to come home on a weekend for a meeting, then so be it."

So far, Cohen has several deals in the works. He hopes that by the middle of the summer Double C Capital will have even more deal flow. Cody Cohen is an inspiration for all business students looking to make it in the business world.
