Driver Weaved Through Traffic, Narrowly Missed Other Cars on LIE: Police

The man's reckless driving created a "substantial risk of serious physical injury to other drivers," police say.

A Bronx man put the lives of other drivers in danger by speeding and weaving through traffic Sunday on the Long Island Expressway, police say.

According to authorities, Darren Anderson, 23, was driving a 2009 BMW eastbound on the LIE, between Exits 39 and 40 in Woodbury, at a high rate of speed and crossed over multiple lanes without signaling at 11:30 a.m.

Police say Anderson narrowly missed other vehicles and created a “substantial risk of serious physical injury to other drivers on the roadway.”
