The theme for the evening is Prepare the way of the Lord.
We are reminded that the prophets fortold of His coming, and that we have to get ready to receive him when he comes. All beautifully told by readings from the bible which alternate with advent hymns sung by the well-regarded St. Edward's Choir.
The evening is followed by a reception in the old church building which offers coffee, tea, and homemade baked goods. Tables are set with Christmas decor and choir members and readers visit with the people who stay to enjoy the festivities.
