Planting Fields welcomes visitors to our 3rd Annual Camellia Weekend on Saturday, February 25th and Sunday, February 26th, 10am – 4pm, featuring new and exciting activities in the Camellia House and Coe Hall Mansion. This year the fabulous camellia blooms of over 200 camellia shrubs and trees will be accompanied by wonderful saxophonists from Chamber Players International. Entrance to the Park and Camellia House is free.
In the mansion ($5 per person, members and children are free) there will be magic performances, jump rope workshops, hula hoops, a hopscotch room, Alice in Wonderland, the movie, all day long, and a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party with Storytellers Jonathan Kruk & Andrew Sadler. For adults there are tours in the Camellia House and lectures about greenhouses in the mansion. There will be camellia plants and jewelry for sale as well as other activities.
