Long Island Kosher BBQ Collects Items for Food Drive

RockCANRoll, a Jericho-based non-profit hunger relief organization, teamed up with residents and community leaders at its most recent event, the Long Island Kosher Barbecue at Temple Beth Torah in Westbury.

RockCANRoll collaborates with rock concerts, schools, corporations, and private individuals to collect healthy non-perishable food and basic necessities to help those in need.

At the kosher barbecue 697 food items were collected for donation, according to Assemb. Charles Lavine (D-Glen Cove), who attended the event.
