Got PRIDE? Berry Hill Elementary Does

The school kicked off the PRIDE campaign with a pep rally.

Berry Hill Elementary School kicked off this year’s PRIDE campaign to encourage students to act with Patience, Respect, Integrity, Dignity and Empathy.

PRIDE is an ongoing character education initiative designed to encourage students throughout the school to demonstrate these five important qualities.

Berry Hill recently held a pep rally in the school gymnasium, where students from every class displayed colorful posters carrying important messages related to the theme. Faculty and students wore their “Got PRIDE?” t-shirts, modeled after the famous milk campaign.

They will wear the shirts every Friday this year to remind everyone in the school about the importance of demonstrating the attributes of PRIDE.

Principal Joanne Mannion led off the assembly before passing the microphone to physical education teachers Scott Segal and Bill Lewis, who reinforced the importance of being good citizens and asked students to talk about PRIDE in their own words.
