Masked Men Rob Syosset Bank at Gunpoint

The robbery occurred Wednesday.

Authorities are searching for two men who robbed a Syosset bank at gunpoint Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the men entered Wells Fargo Bank, located at 137 Jackson Ave., and displayed a silver handgun while demanding that the employees fill a multicolored bag with cash at 2:20 p.m.

The robbers fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Eight employees and one customer were inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

Police described the robbers as 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, 30 years old, and wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts, black face masks, blue jeans and sneakers.

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding this bank robbery to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
