Nassau Police Report: Week of October 6

Check out the recent crimes and arrests reported near the Syosset area.

Nassau County Police released the crime report for the week of Oct. 6 to Oct. 13.

Check out the following incidents and arrests near the Syosset area over the past week as reported by police:

  • Oct. 3: Robert Hurley, 31, of Plainview was arrested for shoplifting from Home Depot on Jericho Turnpike in Jericho.
  • Oct. 6: A man reported that someone entered his car and stole his iPod on Park Lane in Massapequa Park.
  • Oct. 6: A man reported that someone entered his car and stole his golf clubs, prescriptions and assorted clothing on Jackson Avenue in Syosset.
  • Oct. 6: Mariuxi Abbate, 35, of Farmingdale was arrested for shoplifting from Macy's on Old Country Road in East Garden City.
  • Oct. 7: A 19-year-old Lindenhurst man was arrested for possessing marijuana at a TGI Friday's on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa.
  • Oct. 7: A woman reported that someone broke into her car and stole her wristlet and change purse on Voorhis Drive in Old Bethpage.
  • Oct. 8: A man reported that someone broke into and rummaged through his car on Simpson Drive in Old Bethpage.
  • Oct. 8: A man reported that someone broke into and rummaged through his car on Mahan Road in Old Bethpage.
  • Oct. 8: A woman reported that someone broke into and rummaged through her car on Voorhis Drive in Old Bethpage.
  • Oct. 10: Ludwig Furthner, 50, of Bayville was arrested for shoplifting from Home Depot on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset.
