Nassau Police Report: Week of Sept. 1

Nassau County Police released the crime report for the week of Sept. 1 to Sep. 8.
Check out the following incidents and arrests near the Syosset area over the past week as reported by police:
- August 28: Andrew Galloway, 48, of East Meadow was arrested for shoplifting from the Roslyn Savings Bank on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage.
- Sept. 3: Karon T. Footman, 30, of Amityville was arrested for shoplifting form Famous Footwear on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa.
- Sept. 4: Marina Omar, 26, of Plainview was arrested on a DWI charge on the LIE in Roslyn Heights.
- Sept. 4: A man reported that someone smashed the back window of his car and stole his Dewalt drill at the Nutty Irishman Bar on Main Street in Farmingdale.
- Sept. 5: Willie Kirby, 54, of Roosevelt was arrested for shoplifting from Shop Rite on Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage.
- Sept. 5: William Mauz, 37, of Bethpage was arrested for shoplifting from Old Navy on Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown.
- Sept. 7: John Hudson, 35, of Farmingdale was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow.
- Sept. 7: A man reported that someone tried to pry open the door of his car on 1st Avenue in South Farmingdale.
