Police: 16-Year-Old Passenger of Stolen Vehicle Arrested in Jericho

A Brooklyn teenager was arrested after he and another person stole a vehicle in Jericho early Thursday morning, police said.

Authorities tracked a “Lojack” notification, which indicates the presence of a stolen vehicle, to the parking lot of the Hampton Inn, located at 120 Jericho Turnpike, and found two suspects inside the stolen vehicle at 1:23 a.m.

The driver exited the vehicle, fled the scene on foot and has yet to be located.

Authorities arrested the passenger, Eduardo Carbucia, 16, and charged him with third degree unauthorized use of a vehicle.

He will be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Thursday.
