The Woodbury resident thought he was bailing his granddaughter out of jail, police said.

The man who tricked a Woodbury resident into believing that his granddaughter was in jail and needed bail money was arrested Thursday, police said.
According to authorities, Emanuel Jean Gilles, 31, of Brooklyn, called the 74-year-old resident and told him his granddaughter was arrested and she needed an undisclosed amount of bail money on Tuesday, July 28 at 10 a.m.
