Poll: Should Students Have Homework on Weekends?

"I am calling for a [homework] ban on weekends and holidays for the health and well-being of Syosset High School students," wrote Nikhil Goyal, a 16-year-old Syosset High School student.

Goyal, whose plea was published Thursday on the Huffington Post High School page, says homework should not be abolished during the week, but a ban should be placed on weekend homework for the sake of students' mental and physical health. He has already opened conversations with Syosset school administrators to get the ball rolling on the issue.
