Queens Man In U.S. Illegally Is Arrested After $210K Syosset Burglary, Police Say

The man has an arrest warrant out of NYC for grand larceny, NCPD says.

SYOSSET, NY — Officers arrested a Queens man after more than $200,000 in jewelry and cash was taken from a Syosset home in December, police said.

Nassau County police said on Dec. 19, 2025, at approximately 6:27 p.m., 40-year-old Ronald Suarez unlawfully entered a Syosset home. Police said he removed jewelry and currency totaling about $210,000.

Upon investigation, Suarez was located and arrested on May 14, 2026, NCPD said.

A further investigation revealed that Suarez is in the U.S. illegally and is subject to removal proceedings, police said.

According to police, he was charged with second-degree burglary and has an arrest warrant for grand larceny out of New York City. He will be arraigned on May 15 at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
