SHS Dog Rescue Group Working To Give Dogs Homes
Students have worked lately to provide a $750 donation and helped 25 dogs find homes.
From the Syosset School District: Members of the Syosset High School Dog Rescue Group are passionate about giving dogs a home and a better life and work hard all year fundraising and volunteering for different rescue organizations. At their January 13 meeting, they hosted Robert Misseri, Director of Guardians of Rescue, a non-profit that advocates to protect the well-being of all animals. The students were proud to be able to present Guardians with a donation of $750 to help further their shared mission.
On Saturday, Feb. 29, the Dog Rescue Group, accompanied by advisors Dana Kaplan and Jodie Cohen, volunteered all day at Petco in Levittown for Ruff House Rescue’s adoption event. Their efforts contributed to a successful day that saw 25 dogs adopted.
