Simchat HaLev Remembers Renee Weinstein

Renee "Nannie" Weinstein, mother of Congregation Simchat HaLev Rabbi Jay Weinstein, died Saturday after an illness.

Shiva will be held at Gutterman's Funeral Home in Woodbury Wednesday and Thursday from 5-9 p.m., Friday 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and Saturday 6-9 p.m. There will be a Shiva Minyan each night at 7 p.m.

Hebrew school and lessons are canceled for the week.

"Children and Judaism meant the world to Nannie," said the Congregation Simchat HaLev Facebook page. Therefore, in lieu of flowers and food, donations can be made in her memory to Simchat HaLev with the memo Nannie Weinstein Future Education of Children Fund.
