Syosset Coaches Named 'Coach Of The Year'

Three Syosset School District coaches recently received the title of "Coach of the Year" for the winter season.

Coaches Greg Cardona, Michael Ferreira and Chris Schleider all received the honor from Nassau County Section VIII.

Cardona coaches the boys varsity basketball team at Harry B. Thompson Middle School while both Ferreira and Schleider coach at Syosset High School.

Ferreira coaches the girls varsity basketball team and Schleider coaches boys varsity swimming.

Each of the three coaches led their teams to successful seasons and were voted the top coach for their respective sport by their coaching peers.
