A Syosset resident recently joined 75 of her colleagues at Sleepy’s to help raise $131,000 for homeless youth.

Erica Misorek traded in her mattress for cardboard to “Sleep Out” on pavement in the parking lot of Sleepy’s headquarters, which is located in Hicksville.

The Sleepy’s crew raised funds for Covenant House at the Aug. 6 event to help provide food, clothing, shelter, medical care and housing for hundreds of homeless youth.
