Syosset Seniors Recognized at 2015 Awards Assembly
More than 100 scholarships and awards were given to graduating seniors.

Graduating seniors from Syosset High School received more than 100 scholarships and awards at the school’s annual 2015 Awards Assembly on Tuesday, June 9.
The Awards Assembly recognizes students that were recipients of scholarships and awards.

- Academic excellence awards included student performance at Intel, Siemens and ISEF science competitions, to awards in English, literature and music.
- Community awards were presented by benefactors for local memorial scholarships and representatives from organizations such as the Islamic Center of Long Island, Cosmetic Dentistry of Long Island and the Korean-American Friends of Syosset.
- The Army ROTC and Naval ROTC organizations gave out scholarships worth $200,000 and $180,000, respectively.
- Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs granted Legislative Awards to students.
The honors could be from inside and outside the district.
