Syosset-Woodbury Elementary Schools Ranked Among Best in New York

A total of seven schools in the area made the list of Niche.com's top 100 schools in the country.

A total of seven elementary schools in the Syosset-Woodbury area made the list of Niche.com's top 100 schools in the country.

Last week, the ranking and review site released their list of the top schools in the U.S.

The rankings accessed 48,625 public elementary schools and analyzed them based on academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with millions of reviews from students and parents on Niche.com.

Three Syosset schools made the top 10 including Village Elementary School (No. 5), Willits Elementary School (No. 7) and South Grove Elementary School (No. 8). In addition, Walt Whitman Elementary School in Woodbury ranked in at number 10.

The other Syosset schools to make the list include: - Robbins Lane Elementary School (No. 13), Berry Hill Elementary School (No. 15), and West Side School (No. 86).

The four schools were among a total of nine schools in New York’s top 10 are all from Nassau County. Long Island schools dominated the list (see rankings below.)

Lakeville Elementary School in Great Neck was ranked No. 25 in the nation and No. 1 in New York. The nation’s top elementary school was found to be Hillside Elementary School in Berwyn, PA.
