"Vive L'Affiche!" ~ Long Live the Poster!

A Collection of over 100 original advertising posters from the late 1800's through the late 1900's.

Posters originated in Paris in the late 1800’s, as an eye-catching way to advertise things like food, liquor, travel, products or a show. These beautiful well designed lithographs, many of which are stone lithographs, were meant to be displayed for a few weeks then discarded. Few survive in good condition today. Our pieces are all linen backed to museum standards to preserve and protect them. The show is on Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th, from 10am – 8pm. 4 Audrey Ave. Oyster Bay, NY. (516) 558-7511 www.lipf.com.
