Woman Dead After Overnight Car Crash In Syosset
A 53-year-old woman driving a Jeep died after colliding with a commercial truck driven by a 28-year-old man overnight.
SYOSSET, NY — A woman is dead and others injured following a car accident that occurred overnight on the Long Island Expressway in Syosset, Nassau County police said Saturday morning.
The crash occurred just west of Exit 43 at 2:31 a.m., when a 53-year-old woman driving a 2018 Jeep Renegade collided with a commercial truck driven by a 28-year-old man, according to police.
Police said the woman was taken to a local hospital, where she died at 3:08 a.m. A 24-year-old passenger in her truck was treated for minor injuries.
