• Mannion Announces $2.06M for Mobile Command Centers (uticaphoenix.net) — Syracuse residents will see a boost in emergency response capabilities as the Syracuse Police Department and Onondaga County Sheriff's Office share $2.062 million in federal funding for new mobile command centers. Advanced vehicles will support major emergencies, big public events, and multi-agency operations across Central New York, though officials haven't yet announced when the new units will be in service.
   

• Ride Pat Ride: Cycling from Chicago to NYC, for T1D (breakthrought1d.org) — Long-distance cyclist Pat McAleer recently passed through the Syracuse area on his 5,000‑mile Ride Pat Ride journey, raising money for type 1 diabetes research. While here, he was interviewed by CNYCentral anchor Megan Coleman and met her son Henry, who has T1D, highlighting how his cross‑country effort is personally resonating with Central New York families affected by the disease.
   

• MINI Takes the States 2026 Kicks Off in Monterey With a 20th Anniversary Remix (motoringfile.com) — MINI Takes the States 2026 will bring its New York weekend rally through Syracuse, as hundreds of MINI owners drive from Buffalo to Lake Placid past Niagara Falls and into the Adirondacks. Local car enthusiasts can register to join the Syracuse leg, enjoy concerts tied to the tour, and support Best Friends Animal Society at various stops along the route.
