• Woman in yellow jacket fires middle fingers as she's tossed from Trump's Syracuse rally (video) (syracuse.com) — During Friday's Trump rally at the Oncenter in Syracuse, a woman in a yellow jacket was escorted out by deputies after interrupting the speech, firing middle fingers at nearby supporters as the crowd booed and chanted. Video of her removal quickly went viral, while thousands of both supporters and protesters filled downtown streets around the venue.
• Trump Stumps In New York, Criticizes Hochul (iheart.com) — Donald Trump drew a large crowd to the OnCenter in Syracuse on Friday, stumping for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman and local congressional hopefuls. He hammered Gov. Kathy Hochul on affordability and public safety, while touting lower taxes, cheaper energy, and the coming Micron semiconductor complex in central New York as key to future jobs.
• Come From Away honors what's lost, commemorates what's found (thenewshouse.com) — A new production of Come From Away at Syracuse Stage is highlighting Gander's extraordinary hospitality after 9/11 while inviting Syracuse audiences, especially younger ones, to reflect on community and kindness. Cast and crew describe how the intimate staging and ensemble performances help local theatergoers feel part of the story's journey and its message of shared humanity.
