Highly-Talented Nurse Creates Handmade Toys For Residents as Special Bingo Winning Prizes

At Onondaga Center in Minoa, New York, Nurse Charlene Madison has done something so special and heartfelt, the residents of the 80-bed nursing and rehabilitation facility on East Avenue are so now get doubly excited to win at Bingo these days. With a win comes one of the handmade toys that Nurse Madison has created and that has gotten Bingo highly competitive these days.

"I wanted to create something that the residents would really like," said Nurse Madison. "I am so happy that they like these toys, it has kept me on my toes to produce these, but I love it."
Leadership at Onondaga Center were first going to give these away, but they saw how in-demand they turned to be, the new handmade gifts would soon replace unwanted Bingo prizes making them a major hit during Bingo time.

"Charlene is so creative," said Belinda Sue D'Onofrio-Ansaldo, Recreation Director. "The way that these handmade prizes light up the faces of the residents is truly amazing."
