On Saturday, December 7th at Onondaga Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on East Avenue in Minoa, an eight-women Syracuse group called Sentimental Serenade put on a show called Stranded and they sang many holiday and classic standard songs. In one instance, they sang a song called "What You Got Cooking" to a male resident in the audience. The lucky resident was Jim LaDuke and he was so excited, he couldn’t stop talking about it after the show ended.

These ladies are so talented,” said Belinda D'Onofrio-Ansaldo, Activities Director at Onondaga Center. “As soon as they selected Jim, it went from light-hearted to serious then to fun.”

Onondaga Center residents are loving the music and performance by the Sentimental Serenade

In addition to the Sentimental Serenade event, the facility just finished Christmas with Elvis. Onondaga Center will also have two Girl Scout troops caroling, a performance from a Senior Barbershop group, a family baking program, a Christmas trivia Show and a Hanukkah celebration until New Year’s eve.
