150 Veteran Interviews To Air On Greenburgh TV

The town broadcasts the historical tapes twice a year.

GREENBURGH, NY — Interviews with veterans will be broadcast beginning at midnight Thursday on Greenburgh local government cable channels Cablevision 76 and Verizon 35. There are 150 interviews of veterans who fought for the United States, according to Supervisor Paul Feiner.

Most of the veterans fought in World War II or the Korean conflict.

“It’s important to recognize the contributions each of our veterans made to preserve our democracy,” Feiner said. “Sadly, some of the veterans who were interviewed a few years ago have passed away. Their contributions will never be forgotten.”

Feiner said the town has a tradition of airing the living history tapes during both the Memorial Day and Veterans Day weekends.

Former resident Alan Hochberg and Ardsley resident Steve Wittenberg were responsible for producing the living history initiative.
