The pair had been knocking on doors, asking about houses for rent.

TARRYTOWN, NY — Two men were arrested for burglary and larceny after reports of them going door to door seeing if any houses were for rent. Tarrytown Police first responded to an incident Oct. 10 on Wilson Park Drive for property theft outside the home.
The village sent out a mass phone message asking for people’s assistance in identifying suspicious activity in the area and a homeowner who received a knock on her door by someone asking about available rentals called the police, the Daily Voice said.
Police responded to the area and located two suspects: Franco Saladrigas-Garcia, 24, of North Bergen, NJ and Genaro Valencia, 26, of Sleepy Hollow.
