3-H Weather, then a Welcome Change: the Weekend in Tarrytown
There may be some showers and storms this weekend around Sleepy Hollow and we let you know when they are forecast to occur.

TARRYTOWN, NY — Hazy, hot and humid will continue to be the order of things as the weekend gets underway.
However, the chance for storms and rain is relatively low with the greatest chance occurring late Friday and early Saturday and late Saturday and early Sunday.
"Highs on Saturday are likely around 90°, and a heat index in the mid 90s," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Before we see a welcome change on Sunday."

Scattered showers are possible after midnight Friday — but the weather has been promising before, namely Thursday evening, and what did we get? Nada.
The possibilities of rain are greater on Saturday, when there will be a 30 percent chance of showers, including thunderstorms, in the afternoon rising to a 50 percent chance at night.

Sunday, now. Sunday brings welcome change: after the possibility of showers in the morning, we'll have cooler, drier weather, with temps in the low 80s. And decent sleeping weather, too, with temps around 60.
Here’s the National Weather Service forecast for southern Westchester:
- Today: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Northwest wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
- Saturday: Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
- Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. South wind 5 to 9 mph.
- Sunday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 82. Southwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
- Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.
