667 survey responses-shared bikeway/path Mario Cuomo bridge
Most people feel that bridge is too narrow. Written comments highlight safety concerns. Masks are not worn by some users.
667 people responded as of Thursday to survey monkey about the shared bikeway/walkway on the Mario Cuomo bridge. 40.42% of those responding have witnessed accidents or unpleasant interactions between bicyclists and pedestrians. Only 34.86% supported separate use times during part of each day for bicyclists only and pedestrians only. Most of the written comments I received suggested a wider lane or a 2nd lane because the path is too narrow. Other complained about lack of people wearing masks.
