Last year Ashley Robinson, a senior at Alexander Hamilton High School, attended a meeting of the Greenburgh Town Board. I was so impressed with her presentation. I invited her to host a cable TV news show that we could share with the community.
Ashley accepted the invitation and produced and hosted five shows that are very interesting. She got great experience planning the shows, getting guests for the shows and conducting interviews with interesting guests. She will be attending Penn State University with a major in journalism.
Who knows? One day Ashley might be the winner of a Pulitzer Prize. And, Greenburgh officials will be able to highlight the fact that she got her start here in Greenburgh.
Ashley is not the only student who has produced and hosted a news show this year. Blake Feinstein, a student from Edgemont has produced a series of fascinating news stories this past year.
