2. Nearly 40,000 bottles of eye drops recalled nationwide over possible contamination (ktvu.com) β A Tarrytown-based company, Prestige Brand Holdings, is recalling 39,060 bottles of Clear Eyes Maximum Itchy Eye Relief drops nationwide because the FDA says there's no assurance they're sterile. The affected 15-milliliter bottles, lot code 2552A and expiring Sept. 30, 2027, are classified as a Class II recall, meaning potential but generally reversible health risks. 4. Carlie's Tomato BasilΒ Sandwiches (wordpress.com) β A home cook shares a richly detailed recipe for tomato-basil sandwiches inspired by a memorable open-faced version once enjoyed at Blue Hill at Stone Barns in Tarrytown. The piece walks you through ingredients, assembly tips, and suggested substitutions, then shifts into a short devotional reflection on gratitude and praise. It's more lifestyle and inspiration than hard local news, but it nods to a well-known Tarrytown dining destination.
