• 'All You Need Is John' Brings John Lennon's Music to North America (gratefulweb.com) — Fans in Tarrytown can look forward to a live celebration of John Lennon's music when the "All You Need Is John" tour hits Tarrytown Music Hall on February 19, 2027. The show blends Beatles classics with Lennon's solo work, performed by a seasoned North American ensemble that has previously toured tributes to George Harrison and The Beatles' 1960s catalog.
• Girl Scout Troop 2513 Creates Community Hope Bench in Sleepy Hollow (riverjournalonline.com) — Local sixth-grade Girl Scouts from Tarrytown and neighboring communities helped design and build a new Community Hope Bench in Sleepy Hollow's DeVries Park. After dedicating more than 20 hours each, they created a reflective space marked with encouraging words, aiming to give residents and visitors a calm, welcoming spot that celebrates cooperation across nearby school districts.
• We're Sick of It: Protect Our Care's Care Force One Kicked Off in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey as Republican Health Care Cuts Crush Families From Coast to Coast (protectourcare.org) — Tarrytown residents recently hosted a stop of the national "Sick of It! Fix Health Care Now" bus tour at Pierson Park, where State Senator Shelley Mayer and local advocates criticized Republican-led cuts to Medicaid and ACA subsidies. Speakers urged restoring tax credits, reversing Medicaid reductions, and lowering prescription drug prices, positioning Tarrytown as one of several communities spotlighting rising health care costs and coverage losses.
