Feiner Wins Re-Election In Greenburgh Supervisor Race

Voters went to polls Tuesday to decide the races.

GREENBURGH, NY — Voters in Greenburgh went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether long-time Supervisor Paul Feiner, a Democrat, would survive a challenge by Greenburgh Party candidate Lucas J. Cioffi. According to unofficial results, with all precincts reporting, Feiner is headed for another term as supervisor. He received 68 percent of the vote to Cioffi's 32 percent.

The vote count was 10,974 for Feiner and 5,190 for Cioffi.

"I am honored to have your support and equally honored to continue in my role as Greenburgh Town Supervisor," Feiner said in a prepared statement.

"At the same time, I also wish to thank those of our neighbors who did not vote for me, as I believe that the right to vote is central to our democracy and I respect each person’s individual right to vote their conscience. I will work hard for you whether you voted for me or not," he said.

S. Ken Jones, an incumbent, and Gina R. Jackson, both Democrats, were running unopposed for town council.

Town Clerk Judith A. Beville and Town Justice Delores Scott Brathwaite, both Democrats, were unopposed in their bids for re-election.
