Bronx Man, 25, Charged in 2013 Crash in Greenburgh that Killed His Daughter

The accident occurred northbound on the Sprain Brook Parkway.

A 25-year-old Bronx man was arrested by state police Tuesday on misdemeanor reckless driving and related charges in connection with a 2013 accident on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh that resulted in the death of man’s 1-year-old daughter.

Police said Farion A. Daley was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on the parkway on Nov. 26, 2013, when he lost control of his car and hit a tree. Aniyah Daley, who was in the rear seat, was killed.

At the time, several good samaritans, including a retired state police trooper, helped Daley and his daughter, but the girl was pronounced dead at Westchester Medical Center.

Police said they conducted a lengthy investigation before charging Daley. His other charges are endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.

Daley was arraigned in the City of Yonkers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to return to Yonkers Court on May 12.
