On Friday April 20th, the Headless Horseman (7-0) defeated Class B #2 ranked Dobbs Ferry 1-0 behind an incredible pitching performance by Edwin Lebron (5-0). Dionel Infante scored the lone run in the top of the 6th inning on a hard hit ball by Armando Cabrera that scooted into the outfield.

On Saturday April 21st, Dobbs Ferry traveled to Sleepy Hollow for some revenge. The Headless Horseman sent them packing with a convincing 12-4 win. Sleepy Hollow belted out 11 hits, 4 of which were home runs! Peter Pena led the way going 3 -4 with 2HR’s, 3 runs scored and 3RBI.
Edwin Lebron, and Alec Stoll also homered for the Horsemen. Dionel Infante and Nick Arduino each had two hits and 2 runs scored for the Headless Horseman (8-0). Inmer Rosado (2-0) picked up the win with 6 strong innings pitched.
Sleepy Softball
Our varsity softball team beat Irvington on Friday, April 20th by a score of 16 to 0. Jamie Bucci pitched the win and also had 3 hits, 4 runs scored and an RBI.
Her sister, Jenny Bucci had two hits, a Home Run and a Triple, 4 runs scored and an RBI. Shaylin Best had two hits, two runs scored and 4 RBI’s. Vanessa Onwe had two hits, a run scored and 3 RBI’s.
Sarah McCarthy, in her first varsity game, had a triple and two runs scored.

Lacrosse
In a 20-5 rout of Skidmore on the 17th, Amherst goal tender Lamik Harik (Hackley '08) had 1 goal against and made 1 save on the night.
Baseball
Hosting Post of Ct. on the 17th, the Concordia Clippers took both games, winning the first, 4-2, as Yonatan Rodriguez (Sleepy Hollow '07) went 2-3, had 1 r.b.i., and in two attempts to steal, he was successful in the 1st, but was tagged out on number 2. In the 5-2 in the nightcap, he batted 1-4.
