Camelot Opens at the Westchester Broadway Theatre
Lerner and Loewe's 1960 masterpiece musical is revived at Elmford's dinner-theater

Lerner and Loewe’s Camelot has opened at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford and will run through April 5, 2015. Ticket prices range from $54 to $80 per person depending on the performance attended. Beverage service and tax are additional.
Another Broadway classic, West Side Story, will follow, opening on April 9 and finishing its run on July 5, 2015.
In Camelot, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe bring to the stage a story about King Arthur, his queen Guinevere and the knights of the round table — taken out of the pages of the Once and Future King, a novel by T.H. White.

Camelot opened on Broadway at the Majestic Theatre on December 3, 1960 — it starred Richard Burton as King Arthur, Julie Andrews as Guinevere, Robert Goulet as Lancelot, David Hurst as Merlin and Roddy McDowall as Mordred. An awesome cast. The musical closed on January 5,1963 after 873 performances.
The original Camelot received four Tony Awards in 1961 and The Outer Critics Circle Award for Set Design. A film version starring Richard Harris and Vanessa Redgrave came out in 1967.

Among the memorable song hits and ballads are I Wonder What the King Is Doing Tonight, Camelot, If Ever I Would Leave You, What Do the Simple Folk Do, I Loved You Once in Silence, How to Handle a Woman, and the Lusty Month of May.
Cast and crew
Camelot was directed and choreographed by Richard Sabellico. Musical Director Ryan Edward Wise worked with Sabellico in the development of this new version of Camelot at The Mt. Gretna Playhouse in Pennsylvania.
The cast includes Clark Carmichael as Arthur, Jennifer Hope Wills as Guinevere, Jeremiah James as Lancelot, Martin Van Treuren as Merlyn and Pellinore, Jordan Wolfe as Mordred, Emily Brockway as Lady Anne/Nimue, Dan Fenaughty as Dinadan, Michael Glavan as Sagramore, Billy Hepfinger as Sir Lionel. Nina Kompanek and Damian Shembel appear in the ensemble.
The crew includes Set Designer Kyle Dixon, Lighting Designer Andrew Gmoser, Sound Designers Jonathan Hatton and Mark Zuckerman, Costume Designer Janell Berté, Fight Director James Jelkin and Technical Director Steve Loftus, The Production Stage Manager is Victor Lukas and properties are by Grumpy Props. Lisa Tiso is the Associate Producer.
