Candlelight vigil tonight

Three of our neighbors lost their lives in a murder=suicide/domestic violence incident

A candlelight vigil is being held tonight (May 2) at the Parkway Homes Circle at 7:30 PM in memory of our three Greenburgh neighbors who lost their lives in a murder suicide/domestic violence incident on Thursday. The vigil is being led by Pastor Tyrone Robinson of the First Comunity Baptist Church. It's a community gathering of prayer, reflection and unity and is being coordinated by the Parkway Homes Civic Association.

Our heart grieves during this difficult time. Our community is in shock. We feel grief, fear, confusion, anger and unanswered questions. In moments like this a vigil serves a deep psychological and social purpose. This vigil creates a physical space where our grief can be expressed safely and collectively instead of being carried alone. The vigil will also enable us to reflect on the lives lost. We can honor their life rather than the act that just happened.

I would like to thank the Pastor, Parkway Homes Civic Association for sponsoring this important vigil.
