Sleepy wins thriller
Daniella Carissimo hit the game-winning shot with 1.2 seconds left in No. 6 Sleepy Hollow's thrilling 57-55 triumph against visiting Beacon Feb. 17 in the opening round of the Section 1 Class A girls basketball tournament.

Carissimo was a force both scoring and rebounding wise for the host as she registered 14 points and 12 rebounds. Jamie Bucci also stood out with 14 points and eight assists with teammate Grace Carr contributing 10 huge points.
The Headless Horsemen will play at No. 3 Ardsley in the quarterfinals at 5 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 22.

Hackley girls win
Led by 23 points and 10 rebounds from Allie Coppola, Hackley defeated host Trinity 58-41 in girls basketball Feb. 15.
Trish Gorman garnered eight points, seven assists, and seven rebounds for the victors.

Sleepy Hollow/Irvington's Matt Inglas made 39 saves in the Legends' 5-2 loss to host Scarsdale Feb. 17.
