Sleepy boys hoops
On Tuesday, January 31st, the varsity boys’ basketball team lost a hard fought league game at Eastchester by a score of 45 – 44. The Horsemen were determined to avenge an earlier 19 point home defeat to the Eagles and came within an unfortunate bounce on a ten foot jumper by Tommy Fahey, shocking Eastchester at the buzzer.
Harley Falasca was unstoppable with 27 points. Ronniel Munoz and LJ Garrant contributed 7 points; and Dionel Infante held Eastchester’s leading scorer, David Solano, to only 8 points.
The Horsemen’s record stands at 4 – 10, but they are growing into a team that no one wants to face come play-off time. They play next at Roosevelt High School in Yonkers this Thursday, February 2nd at 4:45 PM.
Boys youth hoops
The Horsemen are enjoying a winning season with a 5-3 mark in the boys seventh-grade B division of the Tri-County Basketball League.
