On January 20th, the varsity girls’ basketball team won their seventh consecutive game 75-59 over the Saunders Blue Devils. It was an outstanding team effort with four girls in double figure scoring.

Grace Carr led all scorers with 20 points and added 12 rebounds. Jamie Bucci put in 19 to go along with 10 assists and 5 steals. Alex Davis-Sumter was great with 15 points and 11 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 assists.
Daniella Carissimo also helped with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Our next game is Thursday, January 26th, at Ardsley (4:45 start) and is for first place in our league.
The girls’ league record is 7-1 and our overall record is 11-3. Thanks for your support.
Sleepy wrestling wins
On Thursday January 19th, MSG Varsity filmed the Sleepy Hollow varsity Wrestling team as they faced off against Scarsdale. Sleepy brought their record up to a respectable 8-6 by winning 42-36.
Winning by pins were Chris Lazo, Csaurel Clarke, and Nate Christian. Ramon Rodriguez and Frank Curanaj would win by forfeit. Juan Pablo Loja, Steven Bencosme, Gabe Palacios and Kevin Ortiz won by decisions. Palacios, Jimenez, and Bencosme continue to utterly dominate Section I.
Boys hoops to be on MSG Varsity
Sleepy Hollow's boys basketball game at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27 will be televised by MSG Varsity's IO Channel 14 at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30.
