Children of Holocaust Survivors - an interesting interview

We must never forget

Between 1933 and 1945 6 million Jews were killed by the Nazi’s. In addition to the genocide of the Jewish people the Nazi’s also persecuted the disabled, political opponents, homosexuals, and many others.

Rabbi Mara Young of Woodlands Community Temple in Greenburgh has been conducting interviews with children of Holocaust survivors. Michelle Griffenberg is her most recent guest. A link to the interview is below. These interviews will also be shared with the library and area schools. It’s important that future generations never forget the horrors of the Holocaust.

“First, they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out- because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out -because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out- because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me- and there was no ne left to speak for me.” MARTIN NIEMOLLER
