Clement Pestano, 95, Longtime Tarrytown Resident

Pestano is survived by his loving wife Elvira (Aguiar) and his loving daughters Norma Mejia and Nancy Sanchez both of Tarrytown.

The following obituary is from the Coffey Funeral Home:

Clement Pestano, a longtime Tarrytown resident died August 18, 2014 at the age of 95. Born in Cuba on January 8, 1919, he was the son of Juan and Leonor Gomez Pestano. When Mr. Pestano came to the United States, he settled in Tarrytown and he worked for many years at Tensolite Corporation in Tarrytown.

He is survived by his loving wife Elvira (Aguiar) and his loving daughters Norma Mejia and Nancy Sanchez both of Tarrytown. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Raymond, Norma, George, Johanna, Alex, Nancy and Fabian as well as his great grandchildren: Morgan, Emilio, Lorenzo, Nico, Joseph, Hunter and Benicio. He was predeceased by his daughter Nivia Lopez and his grandson Dorian Lopez. He was also predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 5 PM to 9 PM. His Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday at 11:00 at St. Teresa of Avila Church with interment to follow in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery.
