Coronavirus: Greenburgh Clerk Putting Marriage Licenses On Hold

The clerk said people can leave contact information and they will be notified when service resumes.

GREENBURGH, NY — If you are planning on getting married in Greenburgh any time soon, you will have to wait to get your marriage license. The Greenburgh town clerk said, due to the current new coronavirus outbreak and advisories from federal, state, county and local government officials, as well as those issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding social distancing, the town clerk's office will be delaying public contact, including for the purpose of processing marriage licenses.

This in in effect until further notice, Clerk Judith A. Beville said in a posting on the town's website.

She said advisories are encouraging as little contact as possible for the next two to three weeks.
Her office will revisit the delay and review advisories after that time.

Beville said, when people call her office to ask about marriage licenses, they can give their name, phone number and email address in order to be among the first to hear when regular service for residents is resumed.
