ELMSFORD, NY — A motor vehicle crash on I-287 yielded an arrest for drunken driving. State police said troopers responded to the accident around 3:40 a.m. May 11 on the interstate in the Village of Elmsford.

The investigation found a Chrysler Town & Country minivan became disabled in the right lane and was stuck by a Nissan Altima that failed to see the stopped minivan.

The driver of the Chrysler — Ricardo D. Gavilanes-Teran, 38, of Stamford, Connecticut — was uninjured but was determined to be intoxicated, police said.
