Cuomo Bridge Work To Require Overnight Lane Closures

The work is scheduled to begin Friday and last through the week.

TARRYTOWN, NY — New precast concrete slabs being installed near the Westchester landing of the new Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge will necessitate overnight lane and ramp closures in Tarrytown. The work by Tappan Zee Constructors will create a new base roadway for the twin-span crossing’s connection to the New York State Thruway (I-87/I-281) and will require overnight lane closures on the northbound Thruway.

Because of the work, it will be necessary to close the northbound Thruway Exit 9 (Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow-US Route 9) on-rap from Route 119 during the overnights of Friday, April 27, Monday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 1.

Drivers will be detoured approximately 1 mile east on Route 119 to access the northbound Thruway. The Exit 9 off-ramp will remain accessible from the northbound Thruway.
