'Dial Democracy' For Greenburgh Town Board Meetings
A limited number of people will be allowed to participate by phone at the end of the first public comment portion of the agenda.

GREENBURGH, NY — Can't make it to town hall for a meeting but you really want to sound off on something? Now in the Town of Greenburgh you can participate by phone, thanks to the new "Dial Democracy" initiative.
According to an email from Supervisor Paul Feiner, the town board will hear from up to four residents at each town board meeting at the conclusion of the public comment period.
To participate, one must make the request to speak via a phone call by 5 p.m. Tuesday before the Wednesday town board meeting by contacting the town clerk at 914-989-1500, ext. 5, or by email at townclerk@greenburghny.com.

They will have up to three minutes per phone call at the end of the first public comment portion of the meeting after all those who attended the meeting have had a chance to speak.
A phone number where the participant can be reached must be provided because they will be called by town hall so they can speak during the meeting.
"We appreciate the involvement of citizens who take the time to provide us with your thoughts about town government and reflect on your comments and suggestions," Feiner said. "The decision-making processes of government should be a partnership with the community and town officials."
The next town board meeting is Wednesday, Jan. 22.
