He called his wife—Patricia F. Tenezaca, also of Elmsford—who arrived at the scene with her 2-year-old daughter to help him.
Tenezaca was also intoxicated, police said, and her vehicle became stuck on the dirt-covered shoulder as well.
Medina-Lozano then called Fernando Francisco Guaillas-Gonzales, a friend, to help him.
Guaillas-Gonzales was also intoxicated when he arrived, police said.
All three were arrested and taken to the Hawthorne barracks for processing.
The 2-year-old was released to Tenezaca’s sister.
Police said Tenezaca provided a breath sample of 0.18 percent.
She was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated (Leandra’s Law) and endangering the welfare of a child.
She was arraigned in the Town of Greenburgh Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail or $10,000 bond.
An order of protection was issued and Child Protective Services was notified of the incident.
Medina-Lozano’s breath sample was 0.13 percent and he was charged with driving while intoxicated.
He was issued traffic tickets and released to appear in the Town of Greenburgh September 13.
Guaillas-Gonzales provided a breath sample of 0.08 percent and was charged with driving while intoxicated.
He also was issued traffic tickets and released to return to court September 13.
